Scotty Lacks Vital Energy, Listens to the Frightening Story, and Ponders a Question

Scotty’s log, Space date: 0131.4., Earth date: 10.01.2021.

🚀Our starship steered in the unknown direction, deep into the dark and empty space, surrounded by stars, gas clouds, uninhabited planets, and lights of distant galaxies.

🍕Dutsy kindly shared scraps of food with me that she grabbed from her ship.

I felt a little bit confused. The unforgiving, ever-present void of space became my new home. Me, being locked in that tiny room with no single chance to be found ‒ I began to get the shakes just thinking about it.

✨The urgent aspiration to bring intelligent life to other galaxies was unreal; the pressure had all but crushed me. The way the realm found a way to demolish themselves and then work together for the sake of their survival was unbelievable. But something was irking me, though I didn’t know what exactly it was.

“Scott, you okay?” Dutsy asked, bringing my attention back to my meal.
“Oh, yeah… just thinking about recent events,” I muttered with a longing sigh.
“What exactly about it?”
“I just wonder what it could have been if I hadn’t presented NFT Validator to other realms. If there was another way to help them.”
“Hardly. They must be doing fine just now. That’s all that matters.”
“Yeah, probably you’re right. Still, do you really believe they could do such harm to themselves?” I asked with great seriousness.
“Of course not. Why?” She argued.

🌌I became animated and pointed out the suddenness of everything that had happened on the Ethereum planet.

Something switched in Dutsy’s face.

“I didn’t want to say anything before because I wasn’t sure I could trust anyone. Your new-coined mission, how important is it?
“Crucial. Why?”
”Well, I guess you may wanna reconsider it. There’s something you should know.”
“What are you talking about?”
“Before I went solo, I was in a pirate band. NFT piracy is a dangerous craft: once in a while, you have to stand against your own pack to make a dime. So, we attacked a friendly ship.
The vessel was a real whale. I stealthily snatched the captain’s cabin and looted it. I shouldn’t have. The punishment for breaking a pirate code is severe. Now I’m afraid my band might come for me as soon as they find out I stifled the hard drive.” She took a small shiny metal box out of her pocket and then continued. “I made copies of files over to my laptop.”

💔My heart skipped a beat, “What did you find?”

She swallowed, “One of the folders was secured with a password, so it took me three months to brute force it. When I opened it, there was a single record in it — Urzula.
So, Scott, hon, let me ask you a question: How well do you know Urzula?”

🖖🏼Scotty over and out.
